Call for Papers

We welcome submissions from all areas of language teaching focusing on research, ideas and experiences for enhanced learning outcomes including but not limited to:

• Theoretical perspectives on Action-Oriented Approach / AI / other latest advancements
• Pedagogical implications of Action-Oriented Approach / AI / other latest advancements
• Classroom practices and activities for promoting Action-Oriented Approach / latest advancements in methodology
• Practical applications of Action-Oriented Approach / AI/ other latest advancements for enhanced learning outcomes
• Assessment of language in Action-Oriented Approach / through AI
• Classroom practices and activities for promoting action-oriented language learning
• Support provision to teachers to help them incorporate AI/ implement Action-Oriented Approach and other latest advancements in their classroom delivery

All submissions will be subject to blind peer review by an international panel of experts in the field.

The deadline for proposals is Friday, 26 April 2024. You will be informed of the committee’s decision by Friday, 3 May 2024.

The conference committee will evaluate proposals based on the following criteria:

• Relevance to theme of the conference
• Interesting topic and content
• Well-written abstract
• Clear summary which outlines how the presentation will be organized.

Title (maximum 10 words—will appear in conference programme)

Abstract (maximum 60 words—will appear in conference programme) Your abstract must accurately reflect the content of your presentation. It is on the basis of this abstract that the delegates will choose to attend your session, or come to view your poster.

Summary (150-250 words) The summary needs to outline exactly what you are going to talk about in the session and how the session will be structured. For poster proposals you must indicate the topic area and structure of your poster.

• 30 Minute Workshop

A Research-Based Presentation (40 min + 10 min questions) is a summary of presenters' research in relation to theory and/or practice with time allotted for questions or a discussion paper referring to relevant literature or practice in the area. A Workshop (50 min) demonstrates a technique, activity or task through a hands-on experience.
